KSHETRA
Kshetra Institute of fine arts (KIFA) is registered as a private limited dance company founded by Amritha R Menon also known as Kalakshetra Amritha Menon, alumni of Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts in Chennai India.
Kshetra was established with an aim to promote the traditional Kalakshetra style of Bharatanatyam & to provide training in a more refined way to all age groups across Southern India. The company achieves its aim by providing regular dance training, workshops in schools & libraries and by producing and promoting performances that reach culturally diverse communities across South India.
Kshetra believes that training to young dancers in Bharatanatyam not only improves their knowledge and understanding of the rich cultural heritage of India, it also supports their mental wellbeing; improves physical fitness &co-ordination, spatial awareness, builds self-confidence, and improves communication skills.
The company prepares and helps dance students for their Arangetram. Kshetra dance classes are held across the world (including via Online classes)
Kshetra and its dancers have performed all over India at many prestigious venues.

A gifted classical dancer with many prestigious awards. Kalakshetra Amritha Menon, A graduate from Kalakshetra Foundation Chennai, began to learn Bharatanatyam since the age of three.
Her interest in Bharatanatyam began with her Grandfather Gemini TR Gopalakrishnan (Disciple of legendary Udayshankar and the first Guru for actor Padma Bhushan Kamal Hasan), also with her aunt Late. Ms Premalatha.
She then continued her training under Smt. Kalakshetra Rekha Menon. Smt Amritha Menon then pursued her passion by joining Kalakshera Foundation, Chennai with a first-class graduation in 2013 and post graduation for MA Bharathanatyam , from university of madras in 2015 She has also achieved BA Hons. English and literature.
She has travelled across India as well as globally to perform and teach this divine art form. She has performed prestigious festivals such as kairali,swaralaya and Tala festival in Kerala. Mylapore fine arts festival in Chennai and Margazhi uthsavam.
She has also conducted dance workshops at various international schools and universities in India, Singapore and USA. At present, she is in Chennai as a dance teacher, choreographer and performer.
